I'm Back with New Cards

It's been a while since I posted but here are a couple of cards that I made today. The first one my daughter designed and I made. It's a thank you card for a Peace bracelet that she received.

The second one I recreated from one that I saw online. I really like the way this one turned out and plan on making more.



I used mostly Stampin' Up supplies, the Bella Toile stamp for the background on both, A Word for You stamp set for the sentiment on the 2nd card, Chocolate Chip card stock and stamp pad on both and the Square Lattice embossing folder again on the 2nd one. The rest are just various supplies I had.

There's Magic in the Air Magical Monday Challenge

Here's my card for the latest Magical Monday Challenge over at There's Magic in the Air. You had to use the provided digital image Miss Kitty and stripes on your card. This was actually my second try as I realized while I was posting that I had forgotten to use stripes, so back to the drawing board I went.

There's Magic in the Air Recipe Challenge

Here's my card for the recipe challenge at There's Magic in the Air. This was the final challenge of the recipe blog hop. Along with the provided image Fancy Surprise (which can be found at Having an Art-A-Tack) Here's the recipe that had to be followed for the card:

• Use 1 tag
• Add 2 textures
• Mix in 3 pattern papers
• Fold in 4 pieces of ribbon
• Sprinkle with 5 brads or 5 buttons

You may also use one color card stock outside the color of the base of your card if you like, but only one.

I think I got everything:
1 tag - Happy Valentine's Day tag, check
2 textures - pink textured paper for the base and white embossed paper across the top, check
3 pattern papers - made tag out of pink/white heart paper, cream colored strip and polka dot strip, check
4 pieces of ribbon - two brown ones on the tag, one pink one across the paper strip, another brown one tied in a bow, check
5 brads - 3 pink ones on the image, one jeweled one on the tag and the last one, a heart in one of the polka dots, check.

Here's my project for the challenge at "There's Magic in the Air." This week the challenge was to make anything BUT a card. I made a paper bag book.

Here's a card for another challenge at "There's Magic in the Air." The challenge was to use the provided FREE digital image Cozy & Bright and add something fuzzy. I used a tan colored fuzzy fabric for the background.

"There's Magic in the Air" Something Reflective Challenge

Here's another card I created for the challenge at "There's Magic in the Air." This challenge was to use the provided FREE image Skating By and add something reflective. I used a silver metallic stamp pad to color the penguin and added a little jewel to his hat for extra sparkle. I just discovered the double slider card and decided to use the opportunity to make one.
